When using a microfiber cloth position the cloth at the top of the lampshade and pull it down the shade to clean it.

To clean a stained fabric lampshade fill a deep sink or bathtub with warm water and 1 teaspoon of dish soap or laundry detergent.
How to clean lampshades on a routine basis leave the lampshade in place and make certain the bulb is cool.
Rinse the rag and wipe the spot gently again.
For extra lampshade whitening choose a laundry detergent that contains oxygen bleach.
